ZEISS Lattice Lightsheet 7 is the name of the latest innovation from the three-strong development team in the field of microscopy.
The so-called light sheet microscopy makes it possible to observe living cells in live and 3D for hours or days. A huge leap forward compared to fluorescence microscopy, which could potentially damage living cells. The innovative light sheet microscopy paves the way for longer-term studies of various environmental influences on living cells. How external pathogens and bacteria affect the cells can be mapped in this way and provide valuable information for forecasts in medicine and research. The German Future Prize is awarded annually by the Federal President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, for technology and innovation for extraordinary achievements that improve life and advance the economy.
